Patina
Let's talk about patina! Patina refers to any change in a material's surface due to natural ageing and exposure to the elements. (Think copper, silver, brass, wood, denim, etc.) This can develop through every day use, regular wear, exposure to sunlight, absorbing oils from your skin, scuffs, scratches, dirt, water stains...the list goes on and on. But fear not, this natural and beautiful process should be embraced! It tells a story, becomes rich with history, ages gracefully and is ever evolving.
Natural, undyed full grain veg tan leather will show the most obvious signs of patina over time, but if the leather is of high quality, you should expect similar results...soft, supple, perfectly worn and broken in.
